Embarking on the path to psychotherapy can feel overwhelming, but you're taking an important step toward healing. Below is a simple guide to help you understand the process and what to expect next.

  1. Fill out the intake form to provide me with some initial information about your situation.
  2. Once I receive your details, I'll reach out via email to schedule a time for an introductory call.
  3. We'll start with a brief initial session, conducted remotely, to determine if we're a good fit for working together.
  4. If we both feel comfortable, we'll schedule your first full consultation. Timing may vary depending on the type of therapy you're seeking, but typically the first session is within two weeks.
  5. During our first meeting, we'll review and sign a contract outlining the terms and conditions of our work together to ensure mutual understanding.
  6. As we begin regular sessions, therapy can last for months or even years, depending on your needs. The goal is to address the root of your concerns as effectively as possible.

As people’s skill sets get increasingly specialized, collaboration as a practice becomes more important than ever. But what does that mean exactly? What is collaboration?

Although “collaboration” has become a bit of a corporate buzzword, that doesn’t mean that it’s an empty cliche. On the contrary, collaboration in the workplace is what makes teamwork successful. It’s really that simple.

Collaboration is when a group of people come together and contribute their expertise for the benefit of a shared objective, project, or mission. It’s a photographer working with a designer to create a cover image, or a technology department regularly convening with the marketing team to plug away at quarterly goals. In other words, collaboration is the process of group work. But it’s also a learned skill. How well you collaborate with others will greatly impact the outcome of the group project.
